Hannah Wood

Hi my name is Hannah Wood and I am a sophomore here at the University of Rhode Island. I am currently a Textiles, Fashion Merchandising and Design major with a minor in business. I am originally from North Andover, Massachusetts and am a transfer student. Last year I was a nursing major at Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts. For the longest time I thought that I wanted to be a nurse, that changed once I started taking nursing classes. Now being a TMD major I am very glad that I switched majors and came to URI. One of my favorite things about URI is my sorority Kappa Delta because it’s where I’ve met some of my best friends.

Lexi DelPico

I’m Lexi DelPico, and I am a 19 year old from coastal Massachusetts. When home, I live with my mom, dad, brother, dog and cat. I’m majoring in Marketing here at the University of Rhode Island but am not yet sure of how exactly I would like to use my major. I chose marketing as a major because I want to work in the world of business, but also use creativity. I would love to work in the fashion industry, either specifically in marketing or design of some sort. In my free time I enjoy spending time with friends and family, indoor gardening, and painting. When I’m home I spend most of my time with my cat. I also enjoy traveling whenever I have the opportunity. My main goal in life is to visit as many places as I can and to travel as much as possible.

Allie Kifyak

My name Is Allie Kifyak, and I am a 19 year old Textile Marketing and Economics Major, at The University of Rhode Island. I’ve lived in New Jersey my entire life, specifically in the north western area. Despite the stigma of our “Jersey Shore” culture, and being the armpit of America, this beautiful garden state is a place I’m very happy to call my home. Apart from growing up in New Jersey I have a very prominent Russian background and speak the language fluently with my family and friends. My hobbies include crocheting, sewing, hiking, skiing, and going to the beach no matter the weather. Lately I’ve drawn my focus on mastering crochet in hopes of creating and selling summer tops to URI students. After graduating from URI I plan to take over my mom’s custom upholstery business and expand it to a wider scale, potentially creating my own business off the foundation of my mom’s company. I’m also very interested in textile design and dream of creating my own line of fabrics and textiles.

Claudia Harrington

Hello! My name is Claudia Harrington and I am from Braintree Massachusetts. It is my second year at the University of Rhode Island and I am studying TMD. My mother inspired me to work in the world of fashion as I grew up seeing her work in the fashion industry! When I am at school I love hanging out with my friends, they are like family. I am in Alpha Delta Pi and hold the position of Formal Recruitment Chair. When I am not at school I work for Ralph Lauren being a sales professional and an assistant to our fantastic personal stylist, Carol. Traveling is one of my most favorite hobbies. I am first generation, my parents were both born in Ireland and moved to the U.S. to raise their family. With that being said, I have been to six European countries. I have explored the entire state of California in two Summers and can say that is definitely where I want to live when I finish college. When I graduate with my TMD degree I hope to become a buyer, work alongside Vogue or even start my own clothing line (It changes everyday).
